Whew, haven't posted here since February...odd. Anyways, it's now summer, and I am in the 'Loo, currently procrastinating from working on my MRP. Hopefully I can motivate myself to finish my script shortly, as this is beginning to be frustrating. Darn lack of motivation. Kinda wanna go out for some socializing tonight too, if I manage to finish that bloody script...we shall see... Hope everyone is doing well. I miss writing, too. Like, writing for fun. Had a lovely friend who read over what I have so far and gave me excellent feedback, but I haven't even had a chance to look at the novel since then. Gah!

08:58 am - The Masterplan
Due to some good advice from her_holyness, I have decided to post the entries from my writing blog on LJ too, so more people might access it! So, I shall begin with my little imagined opening scene of Lost. Here goes!
Hello, and welcome to my first post! I am an aspiring writer, and I have decided to start this blog as means of sharing my writing (or lack thereof) and getting feedback. I'm currently working on a novel, but my pet project at the moment is writing a script for an episode of Lost. Why am I doing this? My reasons are three-fold:
1) I love Lost
2) I love writing
3) I love Charlie
Anyways, here is my imagining of the opening of the Season Four premiere (if you have yet to see it, and care about spoilers, don't read on)...
4x01: The Master Plan
Scene opens with the all-too-familiar close up of an eye. Zoom out. The eye is CHARLIE’s, and he is standing onstage mid-performance with Driveshaft. He is noticeably upset, but continues playing. Band wraps up and leaves the stage. The following conversation takes place as CHARLIE and LIAM walked through a huge crowd of fans to get to their dressing room.
LIAM: [arms around two unidentified girls] What’s the matter, baby brother? Not enough screaming girls for you? [he figures out what’s wrong by the look on CHARLIE’s face] Oh, come off it, it wasn’t that bad!
CHARLIE: Horrible…horrible… You don’t care, do you? It was supposed to be about the music, about the art.
LIAM: [laughs] You have got to relax. It was never about the music. It’s about the alcohol, the drugs, and the girls, and you know it. We’re bloody rock gods now, baby brother. You just have to sit back and enjoy the ride.
CHARLIE: [something about what Liam has said strikes him, and the scene swims before his eyes]
LIAM: You alright, baby brother? …Charlie? Charlie!
CHARLIE wakes up in a hospital bed, hooked up to countless pieces of medical technology. LIAM is looking over him. This is not rock-god LIAM, but LIAM as we last saw him before the crash, put-together, wife by his side.
LIAM: [grins] Welcome back, baby brother.
CHARLIE: Where…how did I…the plane…the island…
LIAM: Plane? Well, you never got on no bloody plane, did you?
CHARLIE: What? What are you talking about? Where are we?
LIAM: [nervous laugh] We’re in Australia, baby brother. You came to see me yesterday, you yelled at me, you stormed off, got yourself hit by a car on your way to the airport…none of this is ringing a bell?
CHRISTIAN SHEPHARD: [peeks his head into the room; he’s a mess and has obviously been drinking] Is he awake?
LIAM: [nods] Yeah, come on in. Charlie, this is the man who saved your life. His name is Christian Shepard. He is…was…a doctor. He saw you get hit while you were getting out of the car, and he kept you alive until the ambulance got there.
CHARLIE: [the name sparks something in CHARLIE’s memories, and he gets excited] A doctor named Shepard…do you have a son, Doctor Shepard?
CHRISTIAN SHEPHARD: [shakes his head sadly] No…no…my wife and I…we were never able to…tried, for a long time, but…
LIAM: [whispering to CHARLIE] What are you doing, interrogating him like that? The man saved your life!
CHARLIE: [frustrated and resigned] I don’t know…I don’t know what I’m doing…

Mmm....chilattes are Second Cup's answer to iced cappucinos, and they are sooooo delicious. In other news, I think I SHALL attempt Nano, if only to motivate me to write a little every day. Someone who is good at math, how much do I need to write each day to catch up? hahaha

What do you think people? Too late for me to tackle Nano? I'm considering it, at least as a motivator to get me writing.

09:06 am - I want chocolate...
I always want chocolate, so it's a safe bet that, as you're reading this, I am craving/pursuing/eating chocolate. Anyways, it is back to normal weather for October, which I suppose is good, in spite of the fact that I actually went to the beach and went swimming last weekend! I was swimming on October 7th! Impressive, no? Alas, it had to go back to being cold sometime, I suppose. Not that I'm going anywhere today anyways. I have a long and lovely day of homework, homework, homework ahead of me. Good times had by all!

07:47 pm - Siiiiiiigh
So, I start my novel over about once a year. I figure, at this rate, in about 20 years' time I should have something I'm actually happy with...

Sooo....much....reading...
On a happier note, went to St. Jacob's Market yesterday...I have fudge now! :D
It was pretty cool, found some good deals there, so that was good. Now I have lots of healthy food. Also good.
Just gonna put another plug in for Blood Ties...woman is a private eye, her partner is a vampire, and a very attractive vampire, who just happens to be the illegitimate son of Henry the 8th. Enough said. WATCH IT!

10:36 am - Back to school, back to school...
Wow, I am really neglectful of the ol' LJ. Anywhoo, first day of classes seems like an appropriate time to get back into it. So, here goes! Summer was good, but uneventful. Spent most of it working, and recovering from having my wisdom teeth out, which, btw, I do NOT recommend. I have no feeling in my chin because he bruised a nerve under one of my teeth. He claims it will be better by Thanksgiving. We will see! *angry fist shake* Other than that, not much to report. I have a ten hour day ahead of me today. Not exactly looking forward to it. However, my class tonight, Buddhism and Western Psychology, has potential. Fingers crossed!
